Environmental geology is the science of evaluating earth-related hazards. Dangers that directly impact the quality of life may occur through immediate physical risks such as landslides, or seismic and volcanic events. People can also release injurious chemical substances by exposure pathways (dermal, inhalation, ingestion) from the earth media of soil, water and air. Potential health hazards require evaluation for possible cancer or other health risks whenever human exposure may occur.
A "clean bill of health" promotes top dollar during land acquisition, whereas, a recognized environmental condition in a distressed property can devastate a settlement. Environmental sampling is critical when a suspect distressed property needs further investigation.
The Denali Group offers a full range of soil and water media characterization, contaminated soil characterization, ground water sampling, compliance monitoring, and computer modeling.
