Indoor Air Quality Evaluation of Commercial Buildings
Oakland, California
The Denali Group conducted indoor air quality surveys at a commercial facility to assess the presence of potential chemical, biological, and physical agents, which may have be contributing to employee complaints about indoor air quality. The specific indoor air quality survey conducted by Denali’s industrial hygienists focused on the 2nd through the 6th Floors. Denali conducted the indoor air quality surveys following guidelines from the American Society of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, Cal-OSHA and US EPA. Multiple types of air samples were collected including measurements of physical parameters. A review of the operation and maintenance of the building HVAC system was also conducted as well as interviews of numerous building employees. A final report was submitted which documented the buildings indoor air quality conditions and provided recommendations for corrective actions, which were subsequently implemented.
